Erin & Rob’s Intimate Bruny Island Elopement

Some elopements are defined by grand vistas, while others are entirely shaped by the quiet, soulful moments shared within a tight-knit circle. Erin and Rob’s intimate Bruny Island elopement was wonderfully the latter.

Set against the wild, windswept shores of iconic Bruny Island—where the weather rolls in off the ocean with a fierce, unpredictable beauty—the day brought its classic mix of rain, wind, and sudden bursts of brilliant sunshine. Like anyone who knows this famous stretch of coast, we all watched the skies with a healthy mix of skepticism as ceremony time drew near, wondering which way the elements would turn.

Then, right as Erin and Rob prepared to share their vows, the clouds parted. A warm, golden light flooded the waterfront sunroom, transforming the space overlooking the water into a glowing glass chapel. Surrounded just by their two boys and a handful of witnesses, they shared an emotional, deeply heartfelt ceremony that felt entirely suspended in time.

It was a profound privilege to be part of such a tiny, intentional gathering on Bruny, and we are so grateful to Erin and Rob for sharing their special day with us.
